Smart Thermostat Installation
Installed with a real C-wire and configured for your actual equipment.

What's actually involved
Most smart thermostat problems are not the thermostat. They are a missing common wire, staging left on a factory default that does not match the equipment, or a heat pump configured as though it were a furnace.
We run a proper C-wire, set the equipment type and staging correctly, and cycle every mode before we leave. It takes an hour and it is the difference between a gadget and a working control system.
Proper C-wire
Run correctly, or an add-a-wire module fitted where pulling new cable is not practical.
Equipment configuration
Stages, heat pump reversing logic and auxiliary heat lockouts set to match what you actually own.
Full mode testing
Cooling, heating, fan and emergency heat each cycled and verified.
Schedule set up with you
Configured around your household rather than left on the out-of-box default.
App and account setup
Connected to Wi-Fi, paired to your phone and tested before we go.
Old thermostat removed
Wall patched and tidied where the new unit has a smaller footprint.
How the job runs
- 01
Check compatibility
We confirm your system type and wiring before recommending a model.
- 02
Wire and mount
C-wire established, base plate mounted level, connections labelled.
- 03
Configure
Equipment type, staging and lockouts set for your specific system.
- 04
Test and hand over
Every mode cycled, app connected, and we walk you through it twice if you want.
Questions we get every week
Almost always no common wire — it is stealing power through the heating circuit and browning out. A proper C-wire fixes it permanently.
